i want to install an ice maker, where can i get one and whats the part number>?

Every time I try and use my ice maker on my fridge it pretty much spits out ice everywhere, my boyfriend wants to try and fix it without calling a repair man considering we don’t have much money. Many others have had this problem before (I know this because I googled it) but no one gave any answers on how to fix it. The water dispenser works perfectly fine. Any suggestions?

The refrigerator side isn’t staying at the selected temperature. I defrosted it and it won’t stay at the temperature on the display. It’s a LG side by side 26.5 cu ft. Any ideas?

We have an LG LFC23760SW, last week, when it started, it would sound like a john deer tractor, the next time, it was fine, then a few days later, the tractor noise again. Now when you open the fridge, it reads two things ER FF. Not sure what is wrong and can’t find an error code map anywhere on the web. Anyone got an idea?
Opps, sorry this is a french door, bottom freezer 1 yr old refrigerator.

I’m debating between 2 different models of fridges: the LG four door fridge (Model #LMX25964ST) or the Maytag Ice2 0 (Model MFI2569VEM). They are both bottom freezer french door refrigerators with ice and water, and both the same price. The LG is a better deal, but I’ve heard they are not very reliable. This is a big deal, because I likely won’t have a warranty on either (we’re buying in the US and transporting to Canada). Anyone have either of these that they could recommend?

I have an less than 2y/o LG refrigerator (LSC27910) that blew a fuse this morning. There was no power going into it this morning despite a functioning outlet. Looked at the motherboard on the top of the fridge and noticed a blown fuse. It is a (removable (not soldering in) 15A 250V Glass Fuse. I went to Radio Shack, an appliance repair shop and an appliance parts shop and none of them had the exact fuse. RadioShack only had 15A 250V Ceramic Fuses. I received mixed messages about using the two interchangeably…

What is the difference between these? Can I use the ceramic ones until I order the glass ones online and have them delivered; Do I even need to order the glass ones? Thanks!!

It’s been about 10 months and my X and I (girlfriend) broke up. She is on the Deed still of my house.

Ok fine, so here’s the deal what would you say to her about ALL the other stuff she should do the right thing about too

I want to be nice to her so I get my stuff back, I’m going to tell her nicely that if she doesn’t give it back or at least some of it that I’ll still take her to court ( I have all the receipts btw).

We’ve already decided that the style that makes the most sense for our needs is the French door style with the freezer on the bottom. We’ve researched a bit on the following three brands but I figured I might as well ask Y!A participants if they’ve had any dealings with fridges of these brands? Kenmore, Samsung, LG (I know LG now makes many of the Kenmores, but they do also make their own line)

I wanted to know which is the best refrigerator brand. Is it samsung, LG or whirlpool

My LG refrigerator was powered off by itself. When I pluged in, the power was shut off. So I took all food our of the freezor. This time, when I pluged in again, it works. However, when the door of freezor was closed, I heard consistent "chi–ka" sound from the top of the refrigerator, where the electronic panel is located. This "chi-ka, chi-ka" sound was consistent when the door was colsed.

I opened the door, the noice was gone. Closed, it appeared again. It looks as if something were wrong with the electronic panel. Would anyone please help me out? Thank you a lot.

I have had so much trouble with my LG bottom freezer refrigerator and cannot get any help from LG on it. I’m thinking "keep it simple" and would like to get an old fashion refrigerator–I don’t mind dealing with the defrosting "by hand" if it runs quieter and better.

Being not a mechanic, can i solve this myself? I bought it 20 months ago.

A couple of years ago, our LG refrigerator stopped working. We brought an old refrigerator up from the basement to use in the meantime. We would like to get it repaired because we know the old one will not work forever, and our LG was only six years old.

My husband says that the circuit board control module needs to be replaced, but it has a plastic cover over it. He has been unable to find a way to remove the cover without breaking it.

When I went back to the dealer, he told me that they had had a lot of problems with these and had stopped selling them. My husband tried calling LG, spent a lot of time on hold, and found them to be unhelpful. We have been unable to find a repair shop which will service them. I contacted the HVAC department at the local technical college, but they weren’t helpful either.

My husband says there must be some trick to removing the plastic cover. Also, is there anywhere one can get a replacement control module? The refrigerator is LFTG 2011 BS.

It would be great if someone could tell us how to remove the cover on the control module, where to get a replacement control module, or both. Any other suggestions are welcome.
